Cyclist Lance Armstrong's former teammate Tyler Hamilton claims he saw the seven-time Tour de France winner use EPO,CBS Newsreported on Thursday.
Hamilton told60 Minuteshost Scott Pelley that he witnessed Armstrong using EPO, which is designed to increase endurance by boosting production of red blood cells, the first time when he won the Tour de France.
“I saw it in his refrigerator,” Hamilton said in the interview to be aired on Sunday. “I saw him inject it more than one time.” Armstrong won the Tour de France for the first time in 1999. Armstrong has vehemently denied using performance-enhancing drugs during his controversial cycling career. — AFP
