Former India captain Sourav Ganguly said that young Pakistan wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider reacted too hastily in deciding to end his career to a threat over phone.

“I do not agree to Haider's reaction. He should have stayed back and played on,” Ganguly said here on Thursday.

“Had I been in such a situation, I would have stayed back and continued playing,” said Ganguly, adding that the incident has been a “real eye opener”. Ganguly said he never came across such a situation in his long international career.
