Haas says ‘nein’ to USA

Tommy Haas admitted that he once considered playing for the United States, but has remained loyal to Germany.

With no American man having made it to the third round at Wimbledon for the first time since 1912, Haas was asked if he would represent the US on court.

“I have (considered it). It’s probably not the right time to talk about it too much. If you had a German-American flag, I would represent that flag, but it doesn’t exist.”
