Abdul Jaleel is Indian team manager
Guntur-based Andhra Carrom Association secretary Abdul Jaleel has been appointed manager of the Indian team for the Asian carrom championship to be held at Kolkata from May 8 to 11, according to All India Carrom Federation (AICF) general secretary Bachher.

In the league fixtures, Tirupati Dynamos, thanks to T. Sankar’s brace (14th and 20th) defeated SSN Engineering College, Ongole 2-0 while the tie between Guntur Strikers and Kakinada FC ended in a goalless draw.
Chirala FC defeated Ongole FC by 2-0. K. Seshu (18th) and P. Madhava (40th) were the goal scorers. Brave FC, Ongole, with the help of K. Vamsi’s 25th minute goal, beat Guntur FC 1-0 while Tirupati Dynamos defeated Adilabad 2-1. D. Nanda Kumar (6th) and M.K. Rajat (40th) scored for the winners while Rakesh scored for losers in the 45th minute.
