An irrepressible Gauri Monga shot a brilliant five-under 67 to enlarge her overnight lead of three strokes to 11 after the second and penultimate round of the inaugural DGC ladies open golf championship at the Delhi Golf Club course here on Wednesday.

The 17-year-old now has a two-round tally of 135, comfortably ahead of Vani Kapoor who shot a 75 for an aggregate of 146.

Gurbani withdraws

On a day when the country's No.1 amateur golfer Gurbani Singh withdrew due to illness, Vidhushi Sinha led Gauri by two shots in the race for the Jahanara Challenge Trophy and the DLF Challenge Cup where the nett scores are considered.
