Chandigarh: Sher-e-Jalandhar beat Chandigarh Dynamos 1-0 in the Premier Hockey League match here on Saturday. Captain Gagan Ajit Singh scored the only goal of the match when he converted a penalty corner in the first quarter.

Dazzlers takes third spot

Delhi Dazzlers, held to a 2-2 draw in regulation time, prevailed over Lucknow Nawabs 6-3, via tie-breaker, in its last outing to finish third in Tier II in the Premier Hockey League here on Saturday. Dazzlers ended its engagements with eight points, including three wins and five defeats, while the Nawabs had seven.

Dazzlers took the lead in the 21st minute, Raju sounding the boards with a sharp angular shot. Nawabs drew parity in the 30th minute through a field goal by Cyril Ekka only to see the Delhi side regain the lead with captain Raju converting a penalty stroke in the 48th minute.

However, a last-minute penalty-corner goal by Arvind Yadav helped Nawabs get into extra-time.

Didar does it for Sultans
