NEW DELHI: The Board of Directors of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) has decided that the next tie between India and Australia would be a home tie for India, and restored the normal choice of ground rule for future ties between the two countries.

The decision was announced following a meeting in which India’s appeal was heard in Madrid on Wednesday.

The Board also reaffirmed its right to review any decision of the Davis Cup Committee.

It, however, chose not to review the financial penalties that the Committee had levied on Australia, which had forfeited the Asia-Oceania zonal tie in May that was scheduled to be held in Chennai.
