Ernakulam lifted the men's and women's team titles in the KCM Mather Trophy Kerala State inter-district tennis championship which concluded at the Regional Sports Centre here on Wednesday.

Ernakulam dominated the championship, winning five of the eight titles at stake.

While State champion Rynold Timothy was the star of Ernakulam's triumph in the men's section, Gaayatri Shanker and Tanvi Bhat played a lead role in the host district winning two girls' titles, in the under-14 and under-16 age groups.

Men: Ernakulam bt Thiruvananthapuram 2-1 (Rynold Timothy bt S.L. Arun 6-1, 6-4; Man Singh Thapa lost to Arun Raj 4-6, 2-6; Rynold & Mansingh bt Arun & Arun 6-2, 6-2).

Boys: Under-18: Thiruvananthapuram bt Thrissur 2-0 (Mohammad Hamraz bt Kevin George 1-6, 6-3, 6-1; H. Suraj bt Alex 6-1, 6-0).

Under-16: Ernakulam bt Thiruvananthapuram 2-1 (Vikram Ramesh bt Varun Nair 7-5 , 6-0; Dilip Purohit lost to Jeffy Jacob 7-6, 3-6, 2-6; Vikram & Dilip bt Jeffy & Madhav 2-6, 6-2, 10-5).

Women: Ernakulam bt Thiruvananthapuram 2-1 (Bhavya Shah bt Beagum Yasmine 6-0, 6-2; Uthra Venkatesh lost to Sneha Susan 2-6,4-6; Bhavya & Uthra bt Sneha & Beagum 2-6, 6-2, 10-6.

Girls: Under-18: Thiruvananthapuram bt Ernakulam 2-1 (Uthra Venkatesh bt Beagum Yasmine 6-1, 6-1; Sonia Susan lost to Sneha Susan 1-6, 1-6; Uthra & Sonia lost to Sneha & Beagum 2-6, 4-6).

Under-16: Ernakulam bt Thiruvananthapuram 2-0 (Gaayatri Shanker bt G. Neethu 6-0, 6-2; Tanvi Bhat bt Anupama 6-0, 6-0).
