HYDERABAD: Rainbow Club scored a 3-0 win against HCL in the Sachdev Sports Cup football tournament at Trimulgherry Village Grounds here on Wednesday. HCL stopper-back Sailesh delighted the Rainbow camp by scoring a self-goal in his enthusiasm to clear the ball. In the second session, Sonu scored a brace to complete the tally for the winners.
In another match, Loyola Academy defeated Gymkhana club 2-1. It was Gymkhana that took the lead through Ritunjay in the sixth minute only to see Savio level the scores through a splendid effort in the 15th minute when he latched onto a neat pass from Vineet James. In the second session, Salam netted the match-winner of a pass from James again.
Big win for Maisram
Maisram Stars outplayed APSRTC for a 5-1 win in the A-1 Division Rahim league football championship match at Barkas Grounds here. Ahmed and Shoeb Bin Syed struck once each in the first-half. In the second session, Shoeb scored a hat-trick to seal the rivals fate whose only consolation was the effort by Nayeem in the dying minutes of the match.
Narrow win for SAI
Sports Authority of India scored a hard-fought 3-2 win against Artillery Centre in the Super Six hockey championship, organised by Hyderabad Hockey Association, at Begumpet Police Stadium here.
SAI took the lead in the ninth minute through G.Prasanna Kumar and T.N.Sudheer made it 2-0 within 10 minutes. Artillery fought back through goals by Deepak Tirkey and Junas Ekka. But M. Ajay Babu's goal ensured that SAI emerged winner.

Pradeep hits ton
A fine century by A.G.Pradeep (102 not out, 15 x 4, 1 x 6) helped SCRSA draw their three-day A-Division league cricket championship match against BDL.
