Delhi Public School (DPS), Noida, pipped Army Public School (Dhaula Kuan) in a tie-breaker to emerge the winner of the Arsenal Tata Tea Jago Re Soccer Stars-Round 4 inter-School football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium, here on Thursday.
Both the teams were tied 1-1 after the end of regulation time. Nishant's first-half goal put Army Public School in lead.
Abhiraj Singh scored the equaliser for DPS after the change of ends.
The Noida team won the tie-breaker 3-1.
In the semifinals, DPS had defeated Apeejay School (Noida) 6-5 through a tie-breaker, while the Army boys had beaten Cambridge International School 2-0.
Four boys — Oim Dorjee Tamang, Lal Raut Puia (The Air Force School, Subroto Park), Abhinav Nath (Springdales PS) and Abhiraj Singh (DPS, Noida) — have been selected from the tournament for training under Arsenal coaches.
