Sixth-seeded Dhruv Sunish defeated Sai Pranav Ponaka on Thursday to enter the semifinals of the Karle Infra ATF under-14 Asian ranking tennis tournament.

On a day when the top seeds advanced, Sunish overcame Ponaka after nearly two hours. Sunish’s backhand winners were matched by Ponaka’s strong forehand, and the contest also featured some fine net play. Sunish eventually won 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.
