After years of battle with the Railway Board, former India boxer V. Devarajan finally got justice.

The 39-year-old recently received a written order from the Board that he had been promoted as assistant sports officer.

Devarajan, a World Cup bronze medallist, is currently a head clerk/office superindentent in Chennai.

“I feel really happy. Finally, boxing has been recognised and given its due,” said the Arjuna awardee on Thursday. — Special Correspondent
