BANGALORE: The Delhi Public School (DPS, Mathura Road) and Everest Public School (Ludhiana) registered their second straight win in the super league of the National schools basketball at Sree Kanteerava stadium here on Saturday.

While DPS downed Mallya Aditi International School (MAIS, Bangalore) 76-48, Everest overcame outplayed St. Epherem's (Kottayam) 76-61.

The DPS boys with height advantage ruled over both the boards, picking up the rebounds with ease to outsmart the local side.

To the credit of both Bulchandani Nityn and Mohd Adeel Anees the two tall players in the Bangalore side did give off their best but it was just not enough.

For DPS, Ashu Dev Dutta was impressive with his interceptions and fast breaks. The consistent Humayu Khan (19) and the rugged Sharvan Kumar along with Sunil Kumar kept the scoring spree going.

MAIS will now fight it out with St. Epherem's for the third spot on Sunday.

In the match for the fifth place, St. Paul's (Salem) beat Don Bosco (Kolkata) 85-69.

For fifth place: St. Paul's, Salem 85 (S. Ram Kumar 33, K.G. Srinivasan 28) bt Don Bosco, Kolkata 69 (Bernard Lee 17, Dennis Osta 16). Ht: 53-29.
