KOCHI: C.M. Deepak hit 76 off 37 balls (4x6, 11x4) as Swantons CC, Ernakulam, thrashed Perinthalmanna's Jolly Rovers by eight wickets and entered the semifinals of the 29th Coromandel Cement all-Kerala cricket tournament at the BPCL Kochi Refinery Ground, Ambalamugal, on Thursday.

In sharp contrast, Ernakulam's Century CC pipped Thiruvananthapuram's Masters CC by three runs and also made the last-four grade.

The scores: Jolly Rovers, Perinthalmanna 141 for nine in 30 overs (Mohd Shibu 51, K.R. Sreejith three for 19) lost to Swantons CC, Ernakulam 144 for two in 19.1 overs (C.M. Deepak 76).

Century CC, Ernakulam 152 in 29.5 overs (K. Monish 36, Sulfikar four for 33) bt Masters CC, Thiruvananthapuram 149 for eight in 30 overs (Anfal 46, P.V. Manikantan 33, M.R. Vishnu four for 22).

6-wicket win

An unbeaten half-century by Kamakshi Pandian (50 not out) guided Reserve Bank of India to a six-wicket win over Packers CC in the Thiruvananthapuram district ‘C' division cricket league at the Agriculture College ground on Thursday.

The scores: Packers CC 176 in 44.2 overs (S. Vinod Kumar 46, Abilashnath 38, J.Y. Godwin five for 49) lost to RBI 177 for four in 37.3 overs (V. Kamakshi Pandian 50 not out, Santosh Koshy 35) .

Clinic concludes

The basketball coaches' clinic, led by National coach Aleksandar Bucan, concluded at the Rajiv Gandhi indoor stadium here on Thursday.

Manoj Abraham, the City Police Commissioner and Regional Sports Centre President, presented certificates to the coaches at a function presided over by RSC Secretary Sunil K. Mathai.

Indian basketball captain Geethu Anna Jose was conferred the honorary membership of the Regional Sports Centre at the function.
