Easy for Someshwar

Canara Youth Council (Mangalore) and Someshwar Cricketers (Someshwar) posted facile wins in their Pool `A' and Pool `C' KSCA Mangalore Zone league cricket tournament matches in Mangalore on Thursday.

CYC beat Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences (Virajpet) by 87 runs, while Someshwar Cricketers registered a three-wicket win over National Institute of Technology Karnataka `B' (Srinivasnagar).

The scores: Second division: Pool `A': CYC 240 for nine in 45 overs (Raheem 55) bt CIDS 153 in 32.4 overs; Pool `C': NIT-K `B' 177 in 38.4 overs (Manikandan 71) lost to Someshwar Cricketers.

Round-robin league

The women's inter-zonal limited-overs round robin cricket league tournament will be held at Mysore from January 22 to 28. Central Zone, West Zone, East Zone, South Zone and North Zone will compete in the tournament that will be played at the Gangothri Glades and Infosys Grounds.
