North Carolina: Daniel Chopra finished tied sixth and Arjun Atwal tied for the 22nd spot in the $5 million Chrysler Classic of Greensboro here on Sunday.
After his scintillating card of 66 in the penultimate round, Chopra returned with a three-under 69 to pocket $151,250 for his efforts. Atwal began with a bang, picking up a shot in the opening hole, and repeated it on the fourth, seventh, 14th and 17th. Atwal was richer by $46,416.
Davis Love III won the tournament by two strokes with a 16-under 272. This was his first PGA Tour title since 2003.
Harrington is champion
At St. Andrews, Padraig Harrington shot a four-under 68 to win the Dunhill Links Championship by five strokes at the Old Course. Harrington, who won with a 16-under 271 total, said he would play at the Mallorca Classic and the Volvo Masters in an attempt to win the Order of Merit title for the first time.
Third round leader Bradley Dredge (74) shared the second spot with Anthony Wall (67) and Edward Loar (70). Agencies
