: Chennai’s 3-1 win over Sivagangai, via a tie-breaker, helped it reach the quarterfinals of the Syed Ammal & Kanagamani third junior State-level hockey tournament, organised by the Ramanathapuram District Hockey Association (RDHA), at Syed Ammal Engineering College grounds here on Friday. Both teams were locked 2-2 at full time.

In another clash at Velu Manickam hockey grounds, Thanjavur thrashed Karur 10-1 to set up a quarterfinal clash with Dharmapuri.
