HYDERABAD: Y.V.K. Chakravarthy of Guntur, with nine points from ten rounds, emerged champion in the Brilliant Trophy All India chess tournament here on Saturday.
Akash Iyer of Tamil Nadu and Ch. Sahajasri, with 8.5 points each, finished second and third respectively by virtue of better progressive score.
Mr. A. Narasimha Reddy, vice-president of AICF and chairman of Bar Council of AP High Court, gave away the prizes.
