Ernakulam: Central Zone took first innings lead against KCA XI at stumps on the second day of the under-16 inter-zone cricket match at the KRL Oval on Wednesday.

Strong bowling display by Central Zone saw KCA XI being bundled out for 132 runs. Central Zone, which needed 120 runs for an outright win, ended the day at 12 for no loss.

Vishnu Raj's half-century (84) enabled South Zone take the first innings lead against North Zone.

KCA XI 154 and 132 (Nibu Jose five for 34, Darsan three for 12) vs. Central Zone 167 (Ankush Harikrishnan 46, Vijil five for 36, C.Arun four for 54) and 12 for no loss.

North Zone 185 and 82 for three in 20 overs v South Zone 237 for nine (Vishnu Raj 84, Prashobh R.Pillai 45, Shanu 33).
