Chennai: Former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash will partner Karan Rastogi in the Chennai Open doubles.
"I am looking forward to play with Karan who I have heard much about. I am happy to be back in Chennai where I played in 1997," said Pat Cash. The pair was given a wild card. "It is a dream to play alongside a legend like Pat Cash. I will try to learn as much as possible from this great player.
I am sure this experience will stand me in good stead for the future," said an excited Karan.
Rohan Bopanna and Prakash Amritraj received a wild card for the doubles draw. " This is a great opportunity for us. We would like to thank the organisers for giving us an occasion to play in front of our fans. We will put forward our best efforts to match up to their expectations and start the year on a winning note," said Prakash and Rohan.
The Chennai Open will be telecast across the world on STAR Sports in the sub-continent, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, and Bhutan. The live coverage will be available from 5 p.m. to 11 everyday.
Europe will be covered through programming on Euro Sports 2 that would reach over 40 countries across the continent.
