KOLKATA: Mohun Bagan will fight it out with East Bengal in the final of the CAB two-day league final. On Saturday, Bagan, after setting a target of 416, restricted Town Club to 399 for nine in 85 overs.

Town's Avlin Ghosh made a mark, rattling up 107 but his team lost the game in the end. Town needed 111 runs in the last one hour of play and could get only 95. Ghosh got good support from Raj Kumar Pal (80) and former Ranji star Safi Ahmed (65).

The scores: Mohun Bagan 415 for seven in 85 overs. Town Club 399 for nine in 85 overs (Avlin Ghosh 107, R.K. Pal 80, S. Ahmed 65; M. Ashrafuddin three for 56)).

East Bengal

East Bengal defeated Eastern Railway by a massive 294 runs in an A.N. Ghosh Trophy match at the Jadavpur University Salt Lake ground. Chasing East Bengal's mammoth 449 to win, Eastern Railway folded up for 154.
