Robotix Learning Solutions will organise India’s first Auto Technology Challenge from December 25 to 29 here. The inter-school competition will see 37 two-member teams participate in the Smart F-1 Racing and Destination Zero Carbon (DZC) events which will involve the building of a nitro-powered car and hydrogen-fuelled green car, respectively.
Speaking at a media interaction here, Robotix chairman, A.S. Ramana Prasad, said the preliminary round of the event saw the participation of 45 schools with 230 teams. Prasad also drew attention to the 44 all-girls teams which had participated in the opening round with seven of them qualifying for the final event.
The last round will see students receive training on building working models of the cars for the first four days at the Bala Vidya Mandir in Adyar and it will be followed by a race competition on the final day at IIT-Madras.
The winning team of the Smart F-1 racing competition stands to earn a free trip to the Singapore F-1 race next year while the winners in the other category will also travel to the same nation for participating in the next round of the DZC event. — Sports Reporter
