Indian boys went down fighting 0-2 to Australia in the final of the Asia-Oceania World junior under-14 tennis championship in Kuching, Malaysia, on Saturday.

The top four teams from the zone will compete in the World Group competition to be staged in Prostejov, Czech Republic, from August 5 to 10.

The results (final): Australia bt India 2-0 (Alex De Minaur bt Alex Solanki 3-6, 6-4, 6-3; Alexei Popyrin bt Nitin Kumar Sinha 2-6, 6-2, 6-3).

Final placings: 1. Australia, 2. India, 3. Japan, 4. Thailand.
