PERINTHALMANNA: Kasaragod took the first innings lead against Wayanad as the North Zone under-19 cricket match between the two sides ended in draw.
Wayand, overnight 54 for four, made a slow progress and scored 193 for seven in its allotted 70 overs to concede the first innings lead. Kasaragod made 140 for eight in its second essay when the match was called off.
At Thalassery cricket stadium, the Kannur-Malappuram match ended in a draw. Kannur, however, took the first innings lead.
Kasaragod 281 and 140 for eight in 45 overs (Krian Kumar 49) drew with Wayanad 193 for seven in 70 overs (Sali V.Samson 57, Mustafa 51, Jawed Salman three for 59)
Malappuram 137 and 75 for seven (Rinshad 38, Akshay Chandran four for 18) drew with Kannur 196 for seven in 70 overs (Rahul Das 50).
