Australian Tom Slingsby won the Olympic Games men’s Laser sailing gold medal on Monday with Cypriot Pavlos Kontides taking silver and Sweden’s Rasmus Myrgren earning bronze.
Slingsby, 27, was a disappointing 22nd in the Laser at the Beijing Games four years ago, but in May won his fifth world title in the class. — AFP
