Chennai: An injury-time strike from Baskar gave ICF a 2-1 win over Southern Railway in its final St. Joseph’s-CFA Senior Division league match of the season.

The win ensured ICF second place, taking its points tally to 24, two more than Indian Bank.

Man of the match Baskar had earlier set up Venkatesan for ICF’s first goal, which came half an hour after the Railway side had gone ahead through a Rajesh free kick that deflected in off ICF defender Srinivasan’s head.

Southern Railways, on eight points, will face SAI on Friday in its final match, crucial to its hopes of staying in the senior division.

In the first division, goals from Tamil Selvan and Sivaraj gave Central Excise a 2-1 win over Chennai City Police, for whom Nafrullah Khan scored.
