In the other quarterfinal, Murali Mithun of Tamil Nadu put it across P.C. Vignesh 6-3, 6-4.

Hyderabad Cricket Association appealed to all the Ranji Trophy players who represented Hyderabad between 1934 and 2004 - effectively those who retired before 2004 season, to send their complete details of participation in the Ranji Trophy including proper address for correspondence.
