Chandigarh: Orissa Steelers, displaying excellent stick work, outplayed Delhi Dazzlers 2-0 in the opening match in the Tier II group. Orissa Steelers, which its maiden appearance in the PHL, dominated the game leaving little for its opponent.

Rajesh Chauhan sounded the board through a field goal in the 13th minute. In the 65th minute, Orissa Steelers' captain Sunil Ekka sealed the fate of Delhi Dazzlers by converting a penalty corner.

The final score sheet would have been different had Cyprian Aind and Roshan Minj not missed golden opportunities to score field goals in the either half.

While the winner managed two penalty corners in the 48th and 65th minutes, Delhi Dazzlers' attempts to convert equal number of penalty corners in the 34th and 58th minutes went in vain. Kulwinder Singh and Ajit Pal Singh failed to sound the boards despite getting a clear chance to score.
