    NEW DELHI: Five Indian athletes have been named in the Asian team for the World Cup athletics championships to be held in Athens on September 16 and 17.

    Shot putter Navpreet Singh is the lone male athlete from India while Manjeet Kaur (400m), Pinki Paramanik (800m) and two members of the 4 x 400m relay team that won the gold in the last Asian championships, Satti Geetha and Chitra Soman, have been selected by the Asian Athletics Association (AAA).
