NEW DELHI: Desh Raj scored in the nick of time to help Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to a thrilling 91-89 victory over Karnataka in a group `A' league match of the 34th all-India Maser Prithvi Nath Sharma memorial basketball tournament at the Ajmal Khan Park here on Wednesday.
Desh Raj played well throughout the match to top score with 28 points, and it was the icing on the cake as he clinched the match-winner with seconds left on the clock when the two teams were locked 89-89.
With its second successive victory, defending champion ONGC virtually assured itself of a semifinal berth.
