PUNE: Second seed Ankita Bhambri recovered from an indifferent start to beat a gritty qualifier Poojashree Venkatesh 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 in the pre-quarterfinals of the NECC $10,000 ITF women's tennis tournament here on Wednesday.
Ankita will meet Meghha Vakaria who got past Elizaveta Tochilovskaya of Russia 7-6(4), 7-5. Isha Lakhani, Tara Iyer and Sanaa Bhambri were the other Indians to make the quarterfinals.
