HYDERABAD: New Zealand vice-captain Daniel Vettori and former Kiwi all-rounder Chris Cairns will lead two teams of children in the `Pepsodent Brush Karo-Cricket Khelo' exhibition match at the Railways Recreation Club (RRC) grounds, Secunderabad on Thursday.

Corporate Olympiad

About 30 cricket teams have entered the JDA Corporate Olympiad that gets under way on November 11. Other games to be organised are women's cricket, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and athletics, entries for which close on November 17.

Roller-skating

The Hyderabad district roller skating championships will be conducted from November 17 to 19 as follows: Road races at Sanjeevaiah Park, Speed/rink races and roller hockey at Osmania University Velodrome rink and the artistic events at Indira Park rink.

Venkateswara scalps five

D. Venkateswara Rao's five-wicket haul for Visakhapatnam Steel Plant went in vain as the team lost by 57 runs to County C.C. in the VDCA first division clubs league at Visakhapatnam.

The scores: County C.C. 129 in 37.1 overs (D. Venkateswara Rao five for 35) bt V.S.P.72 in 28.5 overs.

Luxury C.C. 89 in 35.2 overs (Burrayya four for 17) lost to County C.C. 90 for three in 18.2 overs (K.V. Srikanth 40 n.o.).
