PUNE: Qualifier Kelsey Sundaram stretched the champion of last week Sanaa Bhambri to three sets in the first round of the NECC $10,000 ITF women's tennis tournament at the Deccan Gymkhana courts here on Tuesday.
Wild card Rashmi Teltumbe, the National sub-junior champion, had a fortuitous entry into the pre-quarterfinals as the third-seeded Rushmi Chakravarthi retired after one game with a strained shoulder.
