CHENNAI: State Bank’s C.M. Ranjith, who hopes to get his Professional ‘A’ coaching licence soon, has been nominated the head coach of the Indian team for the AFC under-13 boys’ football festival to be held in Teheran from May 19 to 23.

Former international player Joe Paul Anchery is his assistant and Feroze Sherief is the goalkeeping coach.

Ranjith has to attend a two-day workshop for head coaches in Teheran prior to the festival.

The team, which was in a camp which was held in Tata Nagar, Jamshedpur, leaves on May 15.
