New Delhi: Olympian Sandeep Sejwal set a new national record in the 50m breaststroke event with a time of 28.77 secs at the Paris Open Swimming Championships.

He bettered the previous record of 29.08 secs which was also set by him at the Beijing Olympics. In the 100m breaststroke event, Sejwal finished seventh in the final with a timing of 1 min 03.03 secs. — PTI
