BANGALORE: Rohan Gaonkar and S. Raghavendra, local favourites, entered both the boys’ under-16 and under-18 singles semifinals of the WIA-AITA Talent Series junior tennis championship here on Wednesday.

Rohan beat T.G. Subash Kaushik 7-5, 6-0 in the under-16 quarterfinals. Earlier, he defeated seventh seed Arun Prashanth 6-4, 6-1 in the boys’ under-18 category.

S. Raghavendra beat Rahul Paravindra 6-2, 6-2 in the under-18 section and in the under-16 category he defeated Prateesh 6-3, 6-2.

Boys: Under-16: Sai Reddy bt Varun Chandrashekar 6-2, 6-3; Monish Rajer bt K. Basavaraj 6-2, 6-1; S. Raghavendra bt Prateesh 6-3, 6-2; Rohan Gaonkar bt T.G. Subash Kaushik 7-5, 6-0.
