Amritha College of Engineering teams — boys and girls — scored emphatic victories on the opening day's action in the Golden Jubilee Dr M.S. Ramaiah Memorial all-India inter-engineering college basketball tournament (men and women) that got underway at the MSRIT courts here on Wednesday.
While Amritha boys outplayed BMSCE 38-7, the girls were equally impressive in their 30-14 win over PESIT.
MSRIT, the reigning champion, also began on a promising note beating BIT 37-18.
