NEW DELHI: The Indian rugby team will start its campaign against Malaysia in the HSBC Asian five-nation tournament in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

A 24-member team has been chosen to represent the country in the event. India will play in Division II, which also includes China, Malaysia and Pakistan.

The team: Nasser Hussain (capt.), Parvinder Singh, Sandeep Singh, Amit Lochab, Balaram Gopinathan, Hemant Kumar, Surinder Singh, Sukhdeep Singh, Kamaldeep Dagar, Rohit Suvach, Charanjit Singh, Karl Tata, Naresh Kumar, Suresh Sajwan, Ranjit Jhambale, Gautam Dagar, Ganesh Sawant, Tudu Sailen, Zafar Khan, Sujai Lama, Bikash Jena, Pritom Roy, Rohaan Sethna and Thimmaiah Thiman.
