HYDERABAD: A good all-round show by Veda Krishnamurthy, who claimed five for 19 and then struck an unbeaten 33, helped Karnataka record a seven-wicket win over Kerala in the South Zone inter-state women’s cricket tournament (under-19) at HMWSSB Grounds here on Sunday.

The scores: Goa 154 for nine (K. Divakar 35, M. Shalini three for 20) bt Hyderabad 151 (Sunandha three for 37, Praksha three for 21).

Tamil Nadu 149 (Niranjana 81, Uma Bhanu four for 19) lost to Andhra 150 for eight (Lavayna 34).

Kerala 68 (Veda Krishnamurthy five for 19, Saba three for nine) lost to Karnataka 71 for three (Veda Krishnamurthy 33 not out).
