THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An unbeaten century by P. Indrajith put Tamil Nadu in a strong position against Hyderabad in the South Zone Polly Umrigar Trophy under-15 cricket tournament at the Medical College ground here on Saturday.
Indrajith scored 111 which enabled Tamil Nadu to score 366 for seven at stumps on the first day. Apart from Indrajith’s knock there were a few useful contributions from Ganga Sridhar Raju (48) Bharath Shankar (46) and Anand Kumar (40 not out). For Hyderabad, Rohan Yadav (three for 78) was the most successful bowler.
At the Agriculture College ground, Andhra was in command against Kerala after bundling out the host for 154 runs in its first innings. At close of play, Andhra made 75 for one in 20 overs.
At LNCPE, Karnataka struggled against Goa and was 144 for six at stumps after play started late due to wet ground conditions.
