BERLIN: Michael Ballack said on Wednesday the hardest thing about his ankle injury has been dealing with the frustration of a slow healing process after being told he would return to training in three-to-four weeks. Instead six months and two operations have passed.
Because of his original prognosis, the Chelsea midfielder said he has often readied himself for a comeback — only to have that moment pushed back.Ballack, however, couldn’t explain the reasons for the delay.
“It’s frustrating, but I can only say I’m not a doctor, but just a player,” said Ballack. “Some injuries are simple and some are complicated. But it looks good now.” — AP
