Akanksha for World snooker
T. Akanksha Singh of Hyderabad has been selected to represent India in the World under-21 snooker championship to be held in Goa from August 22 to 31.
Akanksha was the winner of the National selection tournament in 2006 and runner-up in the previous edition. She also represented the State in the Nationals in Chennai and Bangalore and is being coached by Capt P.V.K. Mohan, President, BSFI. A student of MNR Dental College (Sangareddy), she is getting all the financial help from Capt. Mohan.
EME scores win
EME Centre rallied well to down a fighting City College Old Boys 2-1 in the SAAP Premier League prize money football tournament at Gymkhana Grounds here on Tuesday. CCOB shot into lead in the 48th minute after a barren first-half through Ahmed Bin Asad off a pass from Mouzzam.
EME scoredthe equaliser through Rajab Mathew in the 61st minute.
In the dying minutes, Paramjit scored off a through pass from Abuddin Syed to net the match-winner for EME.
