NEW DELHI: Aakash Chopra hit a century for Marylebone Cricket Club in the three-day match against Sri Lanka ‘A’ at the Arundel Castle Cricket Club ground on Thursday.

Chopra, who is playing minor league in England, however, failed to stop Sri Lanka ‘A’ from winning the match by 10 wickets.

Out for seven in the first innings, Chopra, defied the Lankans in a 190-ball knock of 106 that contained 12 fours, and was eighth man out.

The scores: MCC 167 and 254 (Aakash Chopra 106) lost to Sri Lanka ‘A’ 415 for seven decl. (Kaushal Silva 118 n.o.) and 7 for no loss.
