Bangalore: S. Sreesanth, nursing a calf-muscle injury, is on the road to recovery. The injured seamer, who returned prematurely from Bangladesh after the one-dayers, has been busy training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) here over the last few days.

He is training along with the under-17 players and has been a regular at the NCA gym as well as the adjoining KSCA `B' ground.

Sreesanth played in the opening one-dayer against Bangladesh at Mirpur on May 10, bowling a spell of five overs conceding 14 runs before injury forced him to return home. Sreesanth is expected to stay back here, as he is the most likely replacement for an injured Munaf Patel in the Asian squad for the forthcoming Afro-Asia Cup Twenty20 match here on June 5.

He is also part of the 14-member bowlers' camp at the Infosys campus in Mysore from June 4 to 8. The camp is a prelude to India's forthcoming tour of Ireland and England. Principal Correspondent
