HYDERABAD: Mumbai scored an emphatic 5-1 win over Karnataka in the Federation Cup women's hockey championship at Government Junior College grounds (Pulivendla, Kadapa) on Monday.

Reena Kanti converted a penalty-corner in the second minute and within 10 minutes Nishi Chauhan was on target with a field goal. Chanchal scored in the 17th minute and before the break Sadhana Singh struck the fourth goal. In the second session, Chanchal scored her second goal to complete the tally for the winner.

The consolation goal for the loser came through Lekha's penalty-corner conversion in the 35th minute.

In another match, Orissa and Uttar Pradesh were locked in a three-all draw. Roselin Dung Dung struck twice and Ejren Dadel once for Orissa. UP owed its come back to Asrija Toppo who recorded the first hat-trick of the event striking in the 12th, 56th and 59th minutes.
