PORT ELIZABETH: South Africa was 115 for three at stumps on the second day of the second Test against Pakistan at St George's Park on Saturday. Jacques Kallis (50) and Ashwell Prince (21) were at the crease. Graeme Smith (10), A.B. de Villiers (15) and Hashim Amla (16) were the batsmen dismissed.

Earlier, Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq put his side in control with an unbeaten 92 as his team took a first innings lead of 141.

Then he held a diving catch at first slip to dismiss the South African captain Graeme Smith off Mohammad Asif.

Inzamam's heroics overshadowed South African fast bowler Makhaya Ntini's 300th Test wicket, with Pakistan adding 99 runs after Ntini reached the milestone by dismissing Mohammad Sami, who was the seventh man out.

There was a setback for Pakistan, however, when fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar did not take the field at the start of the South African innings.

Akhtarwas said to have gone for a scan on a left hamstring injury. Agencies
