KOLKATA: Adrita Banerjee and Shukrit Guha won double crowns in the Bengal sub-junior tennis championship at the BTA Complex on Saturday.

Adrita won the girls’ singles under-16 title defeating third seed Ishita Tibrewal 2-4, 4-2, 5-3 and tamed second seed Shreya Das in the under-14 event, 4-2, 4-1. Shukrit defeated second seed Shreedhar Gaggar 5-4 (5), 2-4, 4-2 and won the doubles event partnering Shreedhar Gaggar.

The results: Boys; U-16: Shukrit Guha bt Shreedhar Gaggar 5-4 (5), 2-4, 4-2. Doubles: Shukrit & Shreedhar bt Josh Prakash Majumdar & Sunil Palai 4-1, 5-3. U-14: Harsh Gurnani bt Yuvraj Bains 4-1, 4-2. U-12: Sanil Jagtiani bt M. Khalique 4-1, 4-2.
