Thumping win for West Godavari
West Godavari defeated Krishna by 138 runs in the ACA Central Zone women’s senior inter-district tournament in Vijayawada on Tuesday.

New turf wickets
The re-laid practice turf wickets at D.V. Krishna Rao Memorial Cricket Academy at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation will be inaugurated by Vijayawada Municipal Corporation commissioner P. Pradymna on Wednesday. “The players can make use of the facility from September 1,” said a release from the Krishna District Cricket Association.

K. Krishna Babu’s 116 was the highlight of the two-day ACA Central Zone u-16 inter-district cricket tournament for Valluri Kesava Rao Trophy at Guntur on Tuesday. Guntur, in reply to Krishna’s 233 for six in 90 overs, was 13 for no loss in five overs.
