Host Annamalai, with six points (two wins and a loss) at the end of the semifinal league, won the title in the South Zone inter-university football tournament here on Saturday.

Kerala and SRM, with four points each (a win, a draw and a loss), were tied for the second spot.

However, Kerala, which had defeated SRM in the semifinal league, was adjudged runner-up.

Madras, with two points (two draws and a loss) took the fourth place. All the four teams have qualified for the all-India inter-university football tournament.
