Hyderabad's Sk. Amreen won the U-14 girls' singles title defeating P. Sai Avantika of TN 7-5, 6-3 in the final of the AITA talent series tennis tournament here on Thursday.

In the U-16 girls' doubles final, B. Amurtha and P. Sai Avantika registered a 6-2, 6-2 win over Sk. Amreen and Ch. Sai Nikitha, while S. Kalyan Babu and Harshit Jain beat M. Rohit and Sk. Suleman to win the u-16 boys' doubles final.

Vizag does well

Visakhapatnam won three team championships and an equal number of individual titles with a medal tally of 17-11-6 in the State sub-junior athletics championships in Kakinada recently.

T. Sundar, R. Shravani and G. Pujitha won the individual titles in boys under-10, girls u-14 and 12 sections respectively while the district won team championship of boys u-10 and 12 and girls u-14 categories.

District Amateur Athletic Association president J.N. Choudary, secretary D. Nageswara Rao and other office-bearers congratulated the boys and girls for their fine show.
